About Us

Oakleaf Cakes was originally founded by Amanda Oakleaf in 2008 from the mini-kitchen of her Boston studio apartment. From there, Amanda and her husband, Tyler, opened their first storefront in Wintrhop, MA, and then expanded to our current location right next to Symphony Hall in Boston. Since then, Oakleaf Cakes has been featured on Food Network, CNN, TLC, The New York Times and Boston Magazine (winning Best of Boston in 2013!). Since 2022, Julie Lyon and Mike Wellen have been the co-owners of Oakleaf Cakes.

Our mission is to bring joy to our customers through the art of customized cakes, delicious baked goods, and a warm, inviting café experience. We are dedicated to crafting beautifully designed cakes, pastries and drinks using the highest quality of locally sourced ingredients. At our café we try to actively create a welcoming environment where individiuals from all backgrounds can gather and connect.
